FINRA has recently made several changes to its BrokerCheck system that will allow investors to gather more information about their registered representatives than ever before.
The new report format provided detailed disclosure information regarding any disciplinary issues or disputes that might be in the broker’s past. The report also provides information regarding an individual’s registration as an investment adviser. Previously a person reviewing a broker or adviser would have had to do multiple searches to obtain all of the information now contained in one location.
